Our specialty

Round steel chains for tightest radii

The historic production hall, the new location in the middle of the city, or the expansion of a
production hall. It is rare to have the opportunity to build a production facility on a greenfield site.
Instead, it is necessary to make use of existing space and integrate new conveyor technology into existing
premises and production lines.

NICE TO KNOW

Power & Free conveyor

The basis is a two-rail system in which our round steel chain runs in the upper rail, thus taking over the “power” part of the keyword, while at least two trolleys run in the lower “free” rail. The conveyed material is transported along the production line by means of an individually adjustable crossbeam with the aid of the trolleys. For unique identification, each trolley can be equipped with an ID carrier, allowing it to be located at any time.

Everything in (material) flow

Taenzler develops flexible and reliable concepts for controlled movement sequences and complex transport processes.

The core of our solutions is the use of round steel chains instead of the usual link chains. We have extensive experience in the design and long-term behavior of such systems.

Compact radii

The minimum radius for the Power & Free conveyor is R = 625 mm, allowing it to reliably navigate even tight curves.

Advantages of round steel chains

  • Highly flexible solutions for confined spaces
  • Resistant to contamination (in dusty environments, against paint particles, etc.)
  • High temperature resistance (drying stations, curing stations, etc.)
  • Low maintenance
  • Individually adjustable transport speed
  • Very low noise

Impressions

Our in-house development and manufacture of all individual components at our plant in Laußnitz enables us to customize your conveyor system to the maximum extent possible with our standard. Depending on requirements, our conveyor system can also handle height differences on sloping surfaces, integrate turning stations for robot painting, for example, incorporate lifting and lowering stations to reach manual workstations, or compensate for different floor heights. We also implement transverse shifts and have a buffer storage system with minimal space requirements, which is important for the drying phases of components.

Circular conveyors, Power & Free conveyors

Conveyor systems for painting, assembly, and transport in series production.

Bumper-to-bumper traffic during rush hour is extremely stressful. In series production, however, it is a source of great satisfaction for every production planner. This is precisely why we plan, design, manufacture, and build customized conveyor systems for your series production.

We offer:

  • Planning, development, design, construction, installation, and commissioning of complete conveyor units
  • Use of round steel chains or link chains
  • Integration into existing plants and production facilities
  • Customized solutions for new production lines
  • Coordination of control technology and programming with existing master computer systems
  • Certification according to DIN ISO 9001

WE MAKE MOBILITY HAPPEN

Automotive

Whether for transporting interior trim, cockpits including carriers, construction board carriers for cable harness production, car doors, body parts, rims, or chassis parts, a large number of well-known automobile manufacturers have already placed their trust in us. The requirement for conveyor systems for automobile manufacturers around the world is to guarantee maximum reliability 24 hours a day.

Taenzler offers reliability

With over 20 years of experience in this industry and through continuous development, coupled with a network of extremely important, reliable, and high-quality suppliers for sensor technology, actuators, and safety systems, it has been possible to develop a strong reputation.

  • Interface management with other functional units in the value chain, for example, handshake with an industrial robot
  • Control cabinet construction and overall system control according to OEM requirements
  • Expertise in highly complex projects with strict quality standards
  • Continuous flow for, for example, personnel involved in assembly processes
  • Diverse solutions depending on the weight and dimensions of the transported goods
  • Sustainability through the use of energy-efficient drives and systems
  • Possibility of retrofitting/activation/system expansion in the event of model changes or capacity adjustments

With us, things get colorful

Printing machine loading

We have developed a solution for the automatic feeding of sheetfed offset printing presses, which are mainly used in commercial printing.

Repeat accuracy and speed required

In contrast to web digital printing, the requirements for sheetfed offset printing are different, as individual sheets of paper are fed into the machine, targeting medium print runs with very high print quality requirements. This process requires printing plates, for which we have developed a handling concept.

  • Gripping technology for fast handling of printing plates
  • Transfer solution for printing plates using robots with vacuum grippers to our conveyor technology
  • Transfer solution for manipulators with vacuum grippers
  • Lifting and lowering station for targeted loading of the printing machines from above, with a requirement for very high repeat accuracy
  • Unloading solution for used printing plates
  • Just-in-time provision for fast printing plate change using buffer technology
  • Retrofit solution for existing printing systems in the customer’s plant
  • Everything from a single source, from design to engineering, from steel construction to complete commissioning, from switch cabinet construction and programming of the system control to subsequent support in terms of maintenance and service

We love wood

Window construction

Our conveyor technology is used in the manufacture of wooden windows for handling individual parts, sashes, and frames. It often begins with picking up the parts after profiling in order to convey them through the flooding system to ensure impregnation. This is followed by gluing/pressing, which is decoupled from our conveyor system, and the subsequent sanding process then takes place again in the attached state. After that, the final surface coating can begin, which is usually done by a robot and often includes intermediate sanding. During these steps, the wooden window can remain attached the entire time.

Robust and low-maintenance despite spray mist

With well over 200 systems installed, this is the industry we serve most frequently, with many of the conveyor systems located in Europe.

  • Option of integrating a turning unit for robotic painting
  • Inclined position after passing through flood systems for dripping and simultaneous paint recovery
  • Adaptation to structural restrictions, often retrofitted in existing properties
  • Integration of lifting and lowering stations, for example, to access regrinding workstations and avoid having to remove the wooden window
  • Adjustable crossbars depending on the suspension situation and weight or dimensions
  • Hanging solution to avoid shadow formation during automated painting
  • Very space-saving buffer option, for example, to enable drying
  • Cross-shift solution to enable drying in the most confined spaces
  • Delivery of a complete system control including switch cabinet construction according to customer requirements

From planning to commissioning

Control cabinet construction

Building our own control cabinets gives us the flexibility and individuality to select, assemble, program, and ultimately commission the appropriate components according to customer or project requirements.

Complementing conveyor technology – everything from a single source

In order to operate as a system integrator in automation technology, in-house switch cabinet construction is an essential feature for us.

  • Project planning with EPLAN to keep an eye on applicable standards
  • High-quality switch cabinets thanks to expertise and compliance with standards for quality and safety in plant operation
  • In-house electrical assembly and installation
  • Programming according to industry standard Siemens Step7 classic, TIA Portal V12-V19
  • Creation and maintenance of block libraries with TIA
  • Project planning of programmable safety switching devices
  • Further development of communication via OPC UA
  • Possibility of remote maintenance and thus fast response times in the event of service requirements
